This panel will focus on the practical considerations of advising clients in the cannabis space. Whether you are representing a landlord, vendor, banker, or grower, you will encounter daily challenges unique to the cannabis industry. Learn how to identify the potential issues and come away with the tools to address them.
This program provides an introduction to the legal issues involved in intellectual property (IP) licensing among companies operating in the highly-regulated cannabis industry. The program opens with an overview of key IP assets available to cannabis industry companies and then describes the basic elements of a cannabis industry IP license, key issues and potential pitfalls in these licenses, and the current legal landscape with respect to expanding a cannabis company outside of a single state. All three presenters as well as the moderator have worked as intellectual property attorneys for several years and have substantial professional experience working with clients in the cannabis industry.
This MCLE related to putting safety first in consumer protection in this emerging industry that are timely and have significant current professional and practical content. The presenters are each experience practitioners and will present timely information about how the FDA is interacting with trademarks, advertising, product liability and product recall.
This CLE will provide attorneys with an overview of the factors to consider when advising clients in the cannabis industry on their capital raising efforts. The panelists will discuss how to identify an appropriate financing strategy in light of a company's stage of development, financing goals, and relevant cannabis regulations, and how to execute a private offering in compliance with securities laws.
