Allied Service Partnerships

For those that wish to become involved in the NCBA but that are not licensed attorneys, we have a variety of options for you to get involved. Allied Service Partnerships offer the same benefits as attorney membership, but do not allow voting rights for NCBA Elections.

Allied Service Partnership
(Sole Proprietors)

$450

Individuals that run their own small businesses (4 or fewer total employees), are eligible for our Sole Proprietor Allied Service Partnership. This and small businesses partnerships are intended for businesses that have fewer than 4 staff members. An

Student Memberships include:

  • Discounted access to networking events and live, in-person CLEs.

  • NCBA Newsletter and industry updates.

  • Opportunity to apply to for Student Mentorship and Externship Program (Applications will be announced).

Allied Service Partnership
(Entity Level)

Intended for small businesses and solo practitioners

  • The volunteer membership requires an annual commitment of 15 volunteer hours per calendar year.

  • Volunteer commitments take a variety of forms, and could include, among many other things:

  • Supporting in-person CLE events, such as our annual Cannabis Law Institute.

  • Research on specific substantive issues that arise in our member's practices.

  • Strategic partnership and business development.

  • For students that wish to join on a volunteer basis, please submit a resume concurrently with signing up for your membership at students@canbar.org. Students that do not submit a resume concurrently with obtaining a volunteer membership will have their membership revoked. 

Legal Support Staff
(Paralegals, Interns, Law Firm Employees)

Non-practicing attorney memberships include retired lawyers, judges, politicians, and professors. If you have questions about your eligibility for a non-practicing membership, please contact info@canbar.org.
